The value of fine art lies in the price that the buyer is prepared to pay for it. There are many factors that determine the price, for example: choice of topics, media and the most important factor of all is the value the buyer himself puts on the painting. When you are selling your painting in a weak market, you can only expect a weak price. However there is always the possibility of getting a good price from a buyer who wants a particular painting and is prepared to pay the price. The price for a painting is determined by what the buyer is prepared to pay for it. We do not certified any value of the painting which do you ask for.

People continue to buy art because they like to look at it and many see it as an investment asset that allows diversification from equities, bonds and property, something more interesting than stocks and bonds. The Mei Moses Art Index which tracks the prices on the major auction is dedicated to be investing in art. Art can be divided for old master art and modern art that can have buyers or collectors determinate sometimes difference justification. Old master like  Gustav Klimt's 1907 society portrait Adele Bloch-Bauer sold for $135 million, Marc Chagall,  Van Gogh or a Picasso. Contemporary like Damien Hirst, Mark Rothko, Joan Miro, Wassily Kandinsky, Jackson Pollock
